The two companies met at West Point, Georgia, and for many years were under the Georgia Railroad & Banking Company's control, which connected Atlanta with Augusta and Macon. The name itself was actually a marketing term only used by the Atlanta & West Point (A&WP) and Western Railway of Alabama (WRoA). The West Point Route was a fondly remembered southern system which connected Atlanta with Montgomery, Alabama. Thanks to a friend and fellow collector (Jim), I have acquired the matching key. Their drop covers have good spring action, both unlock and latch with ease. Both locks have a couple of 'ding' marks. Both locks are 'Adlake' forged and stamped 'AWP-WA-GA RR.' Both are in good condition and still have their original spike chains.
